Welcome to Susko Photography!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my photography site! I greatly appreciate such!
Although I have developed Web sites and authored digital media/products before, this is the first time I am using WordPress/creating an online, e-commerce site; thus, I am sort of learning “on the fly” as they say. It has been quite an “interesting” journey thus far (and, I’m sure, there are plenty of challenges/surprises still waiting for me and lessons yet to be learned).
I promised to have some images available for purchase already; however, in between that threat/prediction and today, I have been trying to work a few things out regarding setting up my site, e-commerce options, and business/legal issues. Thus, I have been spending more time than anticipated to ensure I start this venture successfully on all fronts. If you have been periodically checking this site for updates and/or images/products, I am extremely sorry for the delay! Once all of the site/e-commerce/business/legal drama is taken care of, I will make a steady flow of products available for sale.
Most, if not all, images (like the ones below) will be available in a variety of formats such as: (1) photographic prints (in a variety of different sizes) that you can mat/frame if you like or purchase them already affixed/adhered to various sizes of slate, (2) jigsaw puzzles (in different sizes and piece counts) that you and/or others can put together once and mount/frame or take apart and put back together time and time again, (3) greeting cards, coasters, calendars, and/or other products. I will post notice when these options become available.
The display images (below) are cropped thumbnails of the originals. Just click on any image to open it up in a lightbox. The first image is an animated GIF (showing you two different versions of the same image without having to display both on the same page). When the first image opens in the lightbox, you will see the girl kissing the frog (with my “suskophotography.com” watermark and the copyright information on it). After five to six seconds, the second version of the image will automatically appear. It will be exactly the same image (the girl kissing the frog), but contain the text: “May all your wishes come true!”
Once in the lightbox, you can use the forward or back arrows on the right or left side of the image/lightbox to advance to the next or return to the previous image. You can also use the right and left directional arrows on your keyboard to navigate within the lightbox. Currently, I do not think the lightbox will allow you to swipe forward or back on a mobile device, but, I would suspect that the functionality will likely be coming in a future update of the gallery plugin.
When these images finally become actual products that you can purchase, the final print/product will not contain my “suskophotography.com” watermark or the copyright information on it as seen on the display images here on my Web site. Rather, they will be relatively “clean” images/products (likely containing a small signature/stamp, date, and/or number (if you are acquiring numbered or limited edition prints/products)). You will be given clear options to select from and precise information as to what your prints/products will look like and/or contain. My “suskophotography.com” watermark and the copyright information are being applied to my Web/display images in an attempt to help me better protect them while they are being showcased online.
Thank you again, very sincerely, for taking the time to visit my site! I greatly appreciate such! If you end up liking my site, please feel free to share it with your friends and family! The more the merrier!
